Choosing Your Hospital Uniform

By the end of your shift, your uniform has been made a breeding ground by millions of microorganisms that you have acquired from the hospital. Remember to disinfect and wash them properly.

Comfort is another factor to look into. You should be able to move easily without any evidence of movement restrictions. This can comprise the way you work, especially when you are saving lives at every shift. Your uniform should have several pockets where you can store your jot-down notebook, a few coloured pens and some medical equipment such as your penlight, reflex hammer and stethoscope.

You need not purchase scrub suits that are branded with expensive labels. There are several scrubs out there that are very comfortable, long-lasting and are offered at very reasonable prices. For as long as they are still in tip-top condition, you may purchase second-hand hospital uniforms. Since scrubs are usually sold at hues other than white, you need not worry about your coloured undergarments being seen through light. You may wear your usual lingerie beneath a solid-coloured scrub suit.
